Rooted in the first 1001 days

Every baby deserves loving, nurturing relationships

Our training follows the thinking behind the government's Best Start for Life vision for the 1,001 critical days and the First 1001 Days Movement: put babies' emotional wellbeing first, support the relationship between parent and baby, and give the people who work with families the skills and support to do it well.

01

From pregnancy to age two

The first 1001 days are a unique period that lays the foundations for lifelong emotional and physical wellbeing.

02

Starting with the needs of the baby

Practitioners learn to read each baby's cues and offer sensitive, responsive care that supports their emotional wellbeing.

03

Relationships at the heart

Loving, nurturing parent–infant relationships, alongside parents' own wellbeing and perinatal mental health.

04

An empowered Start for Life workforce

Skilled, confident practitioners with ongoing supervision, ready to deliver your Start for Life offer through Family Hubs.

We understand what you need

Built around what your service is asked to deliver

Nurturing Care Training is an evolution of our work: bespoke, policy-reflective teacher training that goes beyond standard parent and baby wellness teacher training. It's unique, tailored and based on over 20 years' experience of training thousands of practitioners globally.

We look at the wider picture: how parent and baby work fits your Family Hub offer, your workforce plans and the families you support.
