I am Gayle Berry, now known as Prema Patel after remarrying in 2025. I am a mother of 3 beautiful children and have been devoted to parent and baby wellbeing for the last 24 years. I changed my name to Prema when I was 50 after going through the menopause and getting married to my soul mate.Â
I am an expert, author, and advocate for why love and nurturing care matters in the first 1001 days of life. I am the founder of Blossom & Berry and I have had the great pleasure of teaching thousands of people about baby massage and yoga practices
I believe that love creates love and that we can nurture the future, one baby at a time.
About My Journey
I began my career as a corporate lawyer, achieving what I thought was success-but something was missing. Becoming a mother changed everything. I realised that love, presence, and connection in the earliest days of life are what truly shape our future. I left law to follow a deeper calling and retrained in baby massage and yoga. I training with the IAIM and Birthlight whose training was fundamental to creating Blossom & Berry. What started in my living room has become Blossom & Berry-a global training school and movement supporting parents and babies across more than 40 countries. Today, I'm an advocate for somatic practices, nurturing care, and the first 1,001 days of life as a powerful opportunity to help babies feel safe, loved, and supported through their felt senses. My mission is simple: Love creates love-and that love begins at the very beginning.
When you join Blossom & Berry, you step into a community that values presence over pressure, compassion over comparison, and relationships over results. We believe the magic of early life lies in safety, joy, and belonging - for every baby, everywhere.
By coming together, we create a ripple effect. Every parent you support, every baby you nurture, every conversation you spark adds to a global wave of change - replacing fear with trust, stress with peace, and isolation with community.
Because in the first 1,001 days, love isn't just nice to have - it's essential. And when we teach love, we create more love, for generations to come.
The Blossom & Berry training is a heart-led, science-backed pathway to transform lives—starting with your own. It teaches you how to nurture babies and support parents through somatic practices like baby massage, baby yoga, nature connection, and loving presence. But it’s more than a qualification—it’s a movement. A journey into meaningful work, emotional connection, and the deep knowing that by teaching love in the first 1,001 days of life, you’re helping shape a more compassionate world. It’s where purpose meets practice, and love becomes legacy.
It is also important to honour the roots of my training and where these techniques came from. The practice you are learning from me, or reading about here, did not begin with me. It did not begin with a brand. It did not begin with a course, a certificate, or a logo. It began in the hands of mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and birth-keepers in kitchens and courtyards, by lamplight and by sunlight, in countries and languages I will never fully know. Our course honours this wisdom and also blends many other modalities to create a holistic view of why somatic practices are so powerful.
My Philosophy and Contribution to Parent and Baby Wellbeing is Love Creates Love: Nurturing Connection From the Very Beginning
For more than 20 years, my work has been guided by one central belief: the way we nurture babies matters. When I began teaching baby massage in 2002, I discovered that the most powerful part of a class was not simply the massage itself.
It was the relationship.
The moments when a parent slowed down, noticed their baby's communication, responded to their needs and experienced a deeper sense of connection. That understanding has shaped everything I have created since.
My work has evolved from baby massage and baby yoga into a broader philosophy of embodied, relationship-centred nurturing care. I bring together infant mental health, attachment, co-regulation, somatic practices and community to explore how babies experience love, connection and belonging.
Through my books, teaching, TEDx talk and programmes, I advocate for an approach to early childhood that places relationships at the centre of development.
I believe babies need more than activities and stimulation. They need responsive relationships, emotional connection, nurturing care and opportunities to experience the world through their bodies and senses. And I believe that parents need nurturing too.
My philosophy, Love Creates Love, is rooted in the understanding that nurturing care extends beyond the baby to the people, relationships and communities surrounding them.
Today, this philosophy connects my work across Blossom & Berry, Nurture Harmonics and Here Mama.
My mission is to help create a world where every baby feels seen, respected and nurtured, and where the people caring for them feel supported and connected.
Because when we nurture babies, we nurture humanity.
